Seller portal

Guide for external 1099 sales reps who access their commissions portal. Everything is read-only — you can't edit or move data, only view it and download your statements.

How you get to the portal

The Sopinf admin sends you an invitation email with a personalized link. The link looks like this:

https://portal.sipsop.net/seller/setup?token=abc123...

The link is valid for 7 days and can only be used once. If it expired or didn't arrive, ask the admin to resend the invitation (they give you a new backup link in case the email fails).

Setup: create your account

When you open the invitation link you arrive at the setup page:

  1. Email: pre-loaded and locked (the one the admin registered).
  2. Password: minimum 8 characters. Choose one you don't use anywhere else.
  3. Confirm password: must match.
  4. Click "Create account."

If the link expired or was already used, you'll see: "Link expired or invalid. Request a new one from your admin." with a mailto to the Sopinf team.

After creating your account, you're logged in automatically and go directly to your dashboard.

Frequently asked questions for sellers

When do I get paid?

The admin generates statements on the first day of each month (or manually). They then review them, finalize them, and pay you. The exact timeline is managed by the Sopinf team — the portal shows the current status of each statement so you can track it.

Can I edit anything?

No. The portal is completely read-only. If you see an error in your statement (wrong amount, wrong tenant), notify the admin. They have access to create compensatory events or correct assignments.

What happens if I'm deactivated?

If the admin revokes your access (commission_reps.userId = null), your next request to the portal fails and your session ends. Your historical statements still exist in the DB — the admin can view them, but you can't access them until you're re-invited.

Can I change my email?

Not from the portal. If you need to change your email, ask the admin. They can update the rep record and re-invite you if necessary.

Can I reset my password?

There's no self-service password recovery flow in the seller portal yet. If you've lost access, ask the admin to revoke and re-invite you — that lets you create a new password.

Can I see other sellers' data?

No. The portal is completely isolated: each seller only sees their own statements, assignments, and leads. The API verifies ownership on every request.

What is "override" in my line items?

If you're a manager of other reps and have an override % configured, your statements include kind='override' line items. Each one shows which rep it comes from: "↗ María González — base". That's your manager commission, additional to your direct commissions if you also have your own assignments.

Why does my statement say "draft"?

Statements are first generated in draft status. The admin reviews and finalizes them. Until they're finalized, the amounts could change (if the admin regenerates the period). Once finalized, they are immutable snapshots. Once paid, you've been paid.

What does "one-time" mean in my line items?

It's the bonus you earn for each customer you brought in, after that customer maintains their subscription for the qualification period (typically 3 months). It appears once in the statement for the month when the qualification period is met.

Can I export my data to CSV?

Not in the current version. You can download the PDF of each statement. If you need all your data, ask the admin.

If you lose access

If the portal shows "Forbidden" or "Link expired":

  1. Contact the Sopinf team.
  2. Ask for a new invitation.
  3. Use the link they send you to create a new password.

The admin can see in commissions/vendedores whether your rep has active access or not.
